He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Nelson and Edith Nelson (Fahl); and his sisters, Annis Jones, Esther McCallister, Donna Andrick, Frances Parnell and Barbara Summers-Kreps.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Nelson (Leach); his children, Darren Nelson-Delphi (Candy), Shawn Nelson-Summitville and Robin Armstrong-Chesterfield (Phil); his grandchildren, James W. Nelson, Brittany Hamilton (Larry), Morgan Stevens (Neil), Brodie Wallace, Cole Armstrong and Christopher Armstrong (Jadia); and his sisters, Juanita Wadman-Greenfield and Jane Ice-Summitville (Jerry). He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
