He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillie Long and Beulah Mae Long; and his sister Ruby P. Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Cobbins; his daughters, Angela Staples (James) and Joi Dodley (Mark); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Joshua (Ashley), Micah Staples, Brandi Fluellen (Kevin), Miles Long-Dodley, Kennedy Long-Dodley and Meghan Ripoche (Jo); and his sisters, Lizzie Harmon and Bessie Cain. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special cousins.
