He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery King and Lillie King (Swanson); his siblings, Betty, Dean and Richard; his siblings-in-law, Betty and Homer; and his grandparents, Ambrose Loren King and Sarah E. King (Collinson).

He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Bandy; his sons, Kip King (Alpana) of Castro Valley, CA and Toby King (Carol) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Rowan, Gabrielle, Sofia, Katerina and Eden King; and his siblings-in-law, Mike, Tim, Ned and Jill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
