It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer R. Rankin (Wyoming, Illinois), born in New Hope, Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Traff Elworth and Ethel Elizabeth Rankin (Morris); and his children, Ronald Rankin and Patsy Rankin. He is survived by: his spouse Emma Belle Batman; his children, Michael Rankin (Noreen) of Princeville, Homer Rankin, Jr. of Verona, VA and Debra Howard of Calera, AL; and his sisters-in-law, Bea Rankin and Ginny McCourry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
