She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Lawrence and Nannie Pearl Dabler (Carter); her spouse Gene Alwyn Mechling; her children, John Mechling and Cynthia Hotchkiss; and her brother Lawrence Dabler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tami Piper (Keith) of McNabb, IL and Jill Mechling-Madsen of Princeton, IL; and her stepchildren, Dennis Mechling (Cindy) of Buda, IL, Linda "Sis" Walters of Buda, Deborah Mechling of Kewanee, IL, Virginia Morris of Wyanet and Marjorie Milby (Don) of Mineral, IL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
