He is survived by: his wife Judith Berna of Janesville, Wisconsin; his children, Jennifer Berna (Sam) of Marseilles and David Berna (Megan) of Belleville, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Matthew, Evan and Morgan; and his sisters, Joyce Shook, Joanne Fischer (Al) and Patricia Lou Haning (James). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
