It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Smith (Wood River, Illinois), born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Eaton and Ola Eaton (Lents); her husband Kenneth "Sonny" Jamison; and her siblings, Joyce, Sandy, Barb, Jeanne, Gary, Jimmy, Jess and Donnie.
She is survived by: her children, Stacey (Rich Lawson), Amy (Tim Smith) and Kenny; her daughter-in-law Leanne Jamison of East Alton; her grandchildren, Cole Lawson (Stephanie), Kaitlyn McKinney (Ben), Blake Lawson (Lora), Kylor Smith, Kody Smith (Sarah), Rylee Smith, Kenlea Jamison, Garrett Jamison and Emmalee Jamison; her great grandchildren, Tinley and Lilian; and her sisters, Sue Bruce of Alton and Shirley Dunnagan of Bunker Hill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
