He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Shoemaker and Patsy Shoemaker (Blackwell); his wife Luanne Stanton; and his siblings, Connie Lee Shoemaker and Otis Shoemaker.

He is survived by: his close friend Anne Freeman of Brighton; his daughters, Marissa (Kevin Dunn), Kimberly Shoemaker of Hartford and Whitney Shoemaker of Alton; his sister Gail; and his brother-in-law Ron Fowler of Godfrey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to Mid-Town Moms in Alton, IL, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
