He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Hurry and Leila Hurry (Hilyard); his siblings, Harold, Ralph, Rev. Arthur Hurry and Ruth Travers; and his nephew Glenn Randall Travers.

He is survived by: his niece Ruth Ann Brown; and his nephew Eugene Travers.
