He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Mary Dickman; his parents, George and Elsie; his siblings, Lois Mathews (Hartmann) and Jim Hartmann; and his parents-in-law, Fred Dickman, Bob 'Harvey Biggers, Joanne Slack (Dickman) and Bud Slack.
He is survived by: his children, Patti Hartmann (Kevin Ruddy), Caryn Shiel (John), Nanci Lebda (Steve), George III Hartmann (Diane Law), Bob Hartmann (Tami) and Bill Hartmann (Brenda); his grandchildren, Sean, Kyle (Allison), Bryan Shiel (Melissa Swift), Brett (Katie), Arik Lebda (Brea Imse), Amanda Tylka (Jeff), Hollie Ayers (Kenny), George IV (Melissa), Maycie, Lane Hartmann, Derek, Abigail Hartmann, Bria, Bryce Anne, Blake and Ben Hartmann; his great grandchildren, Max, Oliver Ayers, Colten, Jace Tylka and Lincoln Hartmann; his brother Tom Hartmann (Mary); his parents-in-law, Tom Mathews, Clare Hartmann, Mary Dickman, Judy Biggers, Bob Dickman and Mark Dickman (Tracie); his friends, Al Mrowka, Sylvain and Lucie; and also Nancy McCabe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
George was passionate about supporting many charities including; JDRF, CF Foundation, and The Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made out to George Hartmann Memorial Fund.
