He is survived by: his wife Carol Louise Vollum; his children, Mark Vollum and Cara Simpson; his grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Christopher, Justin Simpson and Peyton Vollum; his children-in-law, Paula Davis Vollum and Jacques Simpson; his nieces and nephews, Travis, Kim, Lisa (Keely Gageby), Terri, Lauri (Michael Sanford) and Jenny (Julie Gageby); and his siblings-in-law, Robert, Flo Gageby, Sharon Gageby, Donald, Joey Sanford, Lavelle Vallette and Fletcher N. Smith, III.
