It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce L. Gibson of Wheaton, Illinois, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Gibson and Katherine Gibson; and her siblings, Katherine Gibson, Dorothy Gibson, Grace Jordan and Peter Gibson.
She is survived by: her sister Florence Gibson; her nieces, Anna Oliveira (Gil), Sarah Jordan-Banda, Sharon and Nancy (Peter Gibson); her great-nieces, Kailee Watkins and Viviana Jordan-Banda; and her great-nephew Brady Jordan-Banda.
Started during COVID in April 2020 and completed in January 2021 this structure was built with the help of local orphans.
Joyce then acted and gave generous contributions to Mountain Children's Ministry to construct the ONLY library for miles around in these peasant farming communities of Kabale.
