He was predeceased by: his parent George Galanis; and his wife Marie P. Galanis (Abbott). He is survived by: his parent Theresa Galanis (Koukakis); his son Thomas A. Galanis (Kelly) of Westfield; his sister Mary Canavan of Agawam; and his brother-in-law Michael Abbott of Chicopee. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Springfield Unit, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. "May His Memory Be Eternal".
