It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Ritchie of West Chicago, Illinois, born in Corvallis, Oregon, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Ritchie and Winifred Ritchie; his brother Daniel; and his daughter Hopie. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ritchie; his children, Tracy Dettman (Dave), Thane Ritchie (Juleen), Allegra "Jennie" From (David), Mary "Molly" Ritchie, Maggie Ritchie, Noah "Neo" Ritchie (Brigit), Eve "Annemarie" Ahrens (John), Thomas Ritchie (Bridget) and Anthony Ritchie (Kelsey); and his siblings, Joanna Ginter (Gary), Mark Ritchie (Nancy) and James Ritchie (Kimberly). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; and many, many beloved nieces & nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation toward two organizations that Joe was instrumental in building, and that were very dear to him: America's Kids Belong and Chicago Westside Sports.
