With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Ann Michael of Waverly, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard L. Rakes and Ruth Workman Rakes; her husband Roy L. Michael; her siblings, Joyce and Don; her sons, Rick Michael (Winter) of Oakton, VA and Bud Michael of Mt. Airy, MD; her grandchildren, Colin (Rachel), Richard (Aleia), Daley (Grant Thorne), Heath (Mariana), Nicole and Donald; and her great grandchild Tucker. She was also cherished by her companions and family.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery Hospice.
