It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Mitchell of Waverly, Illinois, born in Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Shumaker and Opal Harney Shumaker; her husband Michael W. Mitchell; and her sisters, Shirley Shumaker, Julia K. Williams and Marilyn Erwin.
She is survived by: her children, William G. Mitchell (Peggy) of Kane and Annette Hamilton (Craig "Odie") of Waverly; her grandchildren, Morgan Haycraft (Dylan) of Waverly, Megan Nevius (Chris) of Waverly and Sean Mitchell of Kane; her brother Robert Shumaker (Sharon) of Waverly; and her daughter Grub. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
