He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin and Helen Campbell Franklin; and his siblings, Linda Locklin, Susie Madiera, Robert and Leslie Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Allison; his children, Donald Franklin, Jr. of Shawneetown, Thomas Ratliff of Shelbyville, Chelsey of Waverly and Kimberly Franklin of Waverly; his grandchildren, Lakoda White, Logan Franklin and Jacob Peecher; and his brother Ronald Franklin of Dallas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
