He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stuhmer and Ethel Sinclair Stuhmer; his son Roger Stuhmer; and his siblings, Betty, Herschel and Samuel.

He is survived by: his spouse Mary Sallee; his son Patrick Stuhmer (Judy) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Zachariah, Brett, Austin, Morgan and Samuel; his sister Shirley McCullough (David) of Virginia; and his daughter-in-law Jenny Houston Stuhmer of Havana.
