He was predeceased by: his wife Margarita Lopez; his parents, Gregorio Lopez and Maria Lugo; his sisters, Efigenia Lopez, Ana Lopez and Tomasa Lopez-Montano; and his son-in-law Michael A. Lystlund.
He is survived by: his children, Luis G. Lopez (Adele), Dianne Lystlund (Robert Scharding), William A. Lopez (Janine), Osvaldo Lopez, Maria and Carmen Roman (Angel Misla); and his grandson Brandon L. Lopez. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Luis's name to the Edwin Montano Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Puerto Rican Society of Waukegan, 150 S. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, IL 60085 are greatly appreciated.
