He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Baez and Juanita Baez; and his in-laws, Robert and Esther Medel. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca (Medel); his children, Nina Mezatis (Scott), Brett, Luke, Jamie Baez (Kevin McCaskey), Madeline Baez McCaskey, Jay (Karina Villa), Melanie, Henry Jay, Brandon (Carrie), Anna, Sam and Benjamin; his great grandchild Melody Grace Baez; and his siblings, Carmen Perez (Angelo) and Evelio Baez (Anne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
