She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sunderland and Margaret Sunderland (Vollmer); her siblings, Mary Anderson (Arthur), William "Billy" Sunderland (Millicent "Boots") and Edward'Eddie" Sunderland (Joanne); her sister-in-law Vicki Sunderland; her daughter-in-law Barbara Maurer; her great grandchild Aryon Maurer; and also Thomas Maurer.
She is survived by: her son Eugene Jr. (Carol); her brother Robert Sunderland; and her son Paul (Melinda).
During COVID, she made puzzles with her son and his family and was still working on one when she was hospitalized.
Was featured in local paper when she and her fellow quilter made and donated 50 quilts a year to Ronald McDonald House so children could have their own quilt and take home.
