He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurl Burton and Nellie Burton (Prince); his stepson Sean Domingue; and his siblings, Lester, Marion, Carl, Gilbert, Thurl Jr., Henry Burton, Vivian Cross, Maxine Cather, Lucille Starwalt, Eunice Starwalt and Joan Cross.
He is survived by: his son David Burton (Jenny) of Stewardson, Illinois; his stepsons, Chris Lindsay (Becky Williams) of Charleston, Tim Lindsay (Kathy) of Toledo and Patrick Lindsay (Christy) of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Lindsay Young (Dakota) of Creal Springs, Nicholas Burton of St. Louis, Jack Burton of Watson, Adam Burton (Mackenzie) of Strasburg, Jarrett Lindsay (Ashley) of Philadelphia and Lee Lindsay-Berns (Christian) of Mattoon, Illinois; and his siblings, Paul Burton of Toledo, Illinois and Faye Welch of Mattoon, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Neoga (190 E 6th St, Neoga, IL 62447). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Neoga in Neoga, Illinois (190 E 6th St, Neoga, IL 62447).
Memorials are suggested to the Willow Breeze Hospice House of Mattoon, Illinois.
