It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Betson of Washington, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Vogel and Lillian Vogel (Faust); her husband Charles P. Betson; her son Gary Allen; her grandchildren, Chuck, Eddie Betson and Josh Blackwell; and her siblings, Warren Vogel and Elaine Peterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Pope (Alan) of Miramar Beach, FL and Diane Scott (David) of Washington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
