He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Calvin S. Coombs and Betty G. Craig Coombs; his wife Susan L. Huwer; his children, Aaron Coombs (Tricia) and Mandi Coombs (Nate Lucas); his grandchildren, Ruby, Lucie, Elliott and Oliver; and his siblings, Connie Kroll (Ed), Pennie Poynter (Dale) and Mike Coombs (Chris). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
