He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank H. Goetze and Sophie Goetze (Bramer); his sister Mary Ann Neumann; and his siblings-in-law, Don Schlottman, Henry Neumann and Iona Goetze.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Goetze (Vickie) of Washington, Patricia Smith of South Pekin and Amy DeMoney (Steve) of Havana; his grandchildren, Jennie Smith, Nathan Smith (Lindsay), Marissa Platt (Mike), Robert Chism and Jack Goetze; his great grandchildren, Riley, Jackson, Liam and Meredith; and his siblings, Robert Goetze of Green Valley and Frances L. Schlottman.
