It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellie Louise Byrd of Washington, Illinois, born in Russellville, Alabama, who passed away on March 20, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mayfield and Nita Laster Mayfield; and her spouse Orbie A. Byrd. She is survived by: her children, Michael Byrd (Cindy) of Washington, Beckie Gibson (Jeff) of Louisville, KY and Kevin Byrd (Julie) of Washington; her grandchildren, Angela Uftring (Cory), Cory Byrd (Roxy), Wesley Gibson (Tonya), Dustin Gibson (Jennifer), Brooke Gibson and Samuel Byrd; and her siblings, Annette Oliver (Silas), Betty Green, Jerry Mayfield and John Mayfield Jr. (Melissa). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington Fire Department.
