With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Folkerts of Washington, Illinois, born in El Paso, Illinois, who passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Krug and Lydia Folkers Krug; and her brother Harold. She is survived by: her husband Ronald L. Folkerts; her children, Gary Folkerts (Linda) of Eureka, IL, Diane Hillenburg (Art) of Washington, Sandy Uftring (Herb) of Washington and Patty Nordhielm (Dave) of Washington; her grandchildren, Amy Hinrichsen (Fritz), Rachel McClure (Austin), Jared Folkerts (Megan), Jason Folkerts, Dan Hillenburg, Kirstin Hillenburg (Kim Lake), Sarah Holman (Jeramie), Anna Heuermann (Adam), Emma Uftring, David Nordhielm, Danielle Nordhielm, Sophia Nordhielm, Olivia Nordhielm and Kate Nordhielm; and her brothers, Herbert and Melvin. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association-Central Illinois Chapter or OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
