He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy V. Hedman and Doris A. Hedman (Davis); and his siblings, Leroy and Sharon. He is survived by: his wife Betty J. King; his children, Lisa Peterson (Robb) of Fargo, Darrel Eric Hedman (Sarah) and Darren Hedman (Erin); his grandchildren, Tyler Rumpf, Josephine Hedman, Hope Rumpf, Eliza Hedman, Addisyn Rumpf, Evangeline Hedman, Abraham Hedman, Luke Hedman and Ben Hedman; and his siblings, Steve, Fernell, Karen and Barbara.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Missionary Church (1825 S Airport Rd, Peoria, IL 61607). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in Darrel's name to Peoria Christian Center, Alpha Park Library, or Faith Missionary Church.
