He was predeceased by: his parents, Goble Franklin and Eva Lillian Franklin (Wright); his grandson C. J. Franklin; and his brother-in-law Wayne Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Judith A. "Judy" Svob; his children, Pat Franklin (Heather) of Streator, Joe Franklin (Melissa) of Tremont, Greg Franklin (Megan) of Pekin and Sonja Ahrens (Dennis) of Peoria; his grandchildren, Kindred Ahrens, Cheyenne Franklin, Gavin Franklin, Ronnie Wheeler and Hadley Franklin; his great grandchild Blake Franklin; and his sisters, Brenda Taylor (Daryl) of Greensburg and Linda Wilson of East Peoria. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
