Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Donald R Dreas of Walnut Hill, Illinois, born in Scheller, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 74, on February 5, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Dreas and Clara C. Dreas (Kabat); his wife Clara E. Smith; and his parents-in-law, Severin and Leona Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Gerdes (Alan) of Bartelso and Melissa Dreas (Curtis Doetsch) of Collinsville; his grandchildren, Jordon Nowitzke of Bartelso, Clara Gerdes of Bartelso, Katherine Gerdes of Bartelso, Henry Doetsch of Collinsville and Eliot Doetsch of Collinsville; his brother Dennis Dreas of Ashley; his siblings-in-law, Patrick Smith of Herrin, Joan Baumer (Mike) of Bryon, Bernadette Hanson (Bob) of Diamondhead and Mary Dreas of Radom; and his pet Bear. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time for Mass at the church and due to the health guidelines, everyone is required to wear a mask and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary School and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Dreas Family.
