He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Johnson (Bunda); his sons, Scott Johnson (Alison) of Lindenhurst and Steve Johnson (Valerie) of Elgin, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Shane, Lucas, Naomi, Annika and Kathryn; his siblings, Dan Johnson (Elaine) of Newport News and Ruth Collins (Donald) of Beach Park; his parents, Kenneth Johnson and Veronica Couture; his sister Tina Campbell; and his grandparents, Henry, Marie Haase, Harold and Ruth Johnson. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Journey Care Hospice of Barrington, Illinois.
