It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith I. Smith of Virden, Illinois, born in Chatham, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Reynolds, and Daisy Reynolds, Sr. (Gaines); her son Danny Smith; her brothers, Earl Reynolds, John Reynolds and Clarence Reynolds Jr. (Kip); and her grandmother Castleman.
She is survived by: her children, David Smith (Mary Jo) of Oklahoma City, OK, Susan McMahan (Robert) of Thayer, IL and Sherry Smith (Meda) of Normal, IL. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Virden Red Hat Society or Prairieland Ambulance and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden who is honored to be caring for Edith's family.
