He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hays and Evelyn Barnes Hays; his son-in-law Joe Bosch; and his brother Don Hays. He is survived by: his wife Ann Hays of Viola; his daughters, Valerie Johnson (Brad) of Cape Coral and Linda Dubson (Dan) of Mahomet, Illinois; his grandchildren, Trevor Johnson, Luke Johnson (Patrick Bradley), Daniel Dubson, Maryssa Orndorff (Darrell), Ashley Bosch and Christopher Bosch; and his siblings, Melvin Hays (Bip) and Barb Bird (Bob).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the family.
