With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Elizabeth Ruge of Vernon Hills, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 26, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ruge and Louise Ruge; and her sister Dorothy Higgins. She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Barkes, William Ruge and Loretta Niedbala; and her friends, Sue and Richard Szybkowski. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, 16 great great nieces and nephews.
