He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ruholl and Elizabeth Ruholl (Goldstein); his wife Dorothy Goeckner; his daughter Charlotte; and his siblings, Adella Ruholl, Florence Bushur (Louis), Alice Ruholl, Mildred Thoele (Paul), Henry Ruholl and Ambrose Ruholl (Agnes).
He is survived by: his children, Jane Plummer (Danny) of Montrose, Randy Ruholl (Jane) of Teutopolis, Elaine Tegeler (Vernon) of Teutopolis, Alice Flynn (John) of Effingham, Patty Kessler (Tim) of Mode, Ron Ruholl (Twilla) of Teutopolis and Cheryl Meeker (Herb) of Teutopolis; his brother Allie Ruholl (Dorothy) of Lillyville; and his siblings-in-law, Bertha Hardig of Effingham and Joe Willenborg of Altamont. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Teutopolis American Legion Post 924, Sister Ethelbert Hall, the former Monastery Museum under renovation in Teutopolis, or donor's choice.
