It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane L. Hurie of Tallula, Illinois, born in Petersburg, Illinois, who passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Timothy Lynn and Alma Kathryn Eichenauer Lynn; her husband Hickory Houghton Hurie; her children, John Timothy Hurie (Mary Jane) of Petersburg and Susan Lynn Anderson (Jim) of Tallula; her grandchildren, Jefferson Josiah Hurie (Shellie) of Bloomington and Kathryn Lynn Parrack (Tony) of Creve Coeur, Missouri; her stepgrandchildren, Jamie Lynn Sorenson (Chris) of Stoughton and John Wallace Anderson (Christina) of Versailles, Missouri; and her great grandchildren, Gabi, Emme, Alex Hurie, Wyatt, Ben Parrack, Savannah, Maggie Sorenson, Brooke and Evelyn Anderson.
Memorial donations can be made in Jane's name to Rock Creek Presbyterian Church or the Menard County Food Pantry.
