With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Russell Smith of Tallula, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Johnie Smith; his siblings, Elizabeth Maple and James Smith; his half-brother Harvey Morgan; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Smith and Linda; and his sister Bonnie Mae Smith.
He is survived by: his mother Rosie Mae Smith (Kemp); his wife Barbara Jo Snyder; his sons, Jeremiah Duff (Rita) of Edinburg, IL and Nathan Duff (Rhonda) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Zachary Duff, Khloe Duff and Kaylee Duff; his siblings, Bill Smith of Petersburg, Roger Smith (Joyce) of Jacksonville, Wayne Smith (Jessie) of Missouri and Darlene Dick (Chuck) of Petersburg; and his siblings-in-law, Mary, Shirley and Mike Maple. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
