Rose Ann Griggs Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Ann Griggs of Sumner, Illinois, born in Saint Joseph, Illinois, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Bessie Fogle; her daughter Cynthia Diane Griggs; her grandson Brian Griggs; and her siblings, Victorine Edwards and Herman Fogle.
She is survived by: her husband Delbert Griggs; her children, Michael E. Griggs (Melissa) of Morganfield, KY, Patrick W. Griggs (Penny) of Spotsylvania, VA, Catherine L. Young (David) of Meridianville, AL, Sharon R. Deisher of Mount Carmel and Jay A. Griggs (Bonnie) of Mount Carmel; her grandchildren, Rebecca Diane Waddell (Griggs), Christopher, Christian, Caitlin Marie Griggs, Zachary, Eric, Adrianna Rose Young, Holly Ann Salazar (Deisher), Brandon Griggs, AJ Cadigan and Jayla Rose Griggs; her great grandchildren, Jacqueline LaMura, Bailey Waddell, Evelynrose, Elias Griggs and George Adams-Griggs; and her sisters, Louise Payne, Theresa Payne and Stella Payne. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Social distancing practices will be in place and the family has requested those in attendance to wear facial coverings.
Memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to Residential Hospice Healthcare.
