He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Dawson and Isabelle Dawson (Rushing); his brother James "Jim" Dawson; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth "Kenny" Mitzelfet, William "Bill" Martin, Mary Dawson, Jaqueline "Jackie" Mitzelfelt and Louise Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Cheri" Lee Campbell (Martin); his children, Larry Jr. Dawson (Trudy) of Elmwood, Debora "Debbie" Ihnes (Brian) of Elmwood, Patricia "Patty" Stancomb of Dahinda and Nicole Campbell "Nikki" Monari (Joe) of Springfield; and his brother Robert "Bob" Dawson (Norma) of Elmwood. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve-great grandchildren.
In honor of Larry and his giving heart, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Runs, United Way of Central Illinois or WCIC Radio.
