She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mullins and Genevieve Mullins; her husband Mathias George Bates; her daughter Alice; her brother Joseph; her aunts, Rose and Mary; and her siblings-in-law, Ann, Retha, Alice, Clara, Bernice, Estelle, Francis, Walter and Joseph.

She is survived by: her children, Rosemarie and Lawrence (Sarah); her nephew Ralph; and her nephew-in-law Brendan.
