He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Annel (Kitterman) of Spring Valley; his daughter Jamie Annel of Missouri; his stepsons, Eric Gehrt (Tina) and Kevin Gehrt (Tracy); his sister Sharon (Rich Landsdown) of Peoria; his grandsons, Alex and Jake Gehrt; his friend Jim Stevenson; his pet Angel; and his parents, Jerome Annel and Melitta Annel (Worthmann).
