With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rabbi Neil Brief (Skokie, Illinois), who passed away on January 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Erica Brief; and his sisters-in-law, Joann "Honey" Greenbaum and Selma Ochs (Charlie). He is survived by: his children, Dena Wald (Jerry), David Brief (Hazel) and Debra Hoffen (Bruce); his grandchildren, Joel Wald (Debra), Naomi Warren (Scott), Nava Fried (Yehoshua), Micha Brief (Noa), Yasmina Brief-Maliach (Odelia), Libi Alush (Noam), Aviel Brief (Rivka), Yona Brief, Sara and Frances Hoffen; his great grandchildren, Ella, Eitan, Gefen, Maya, Xander, Neta and Liam; and his brother Seymour Brief (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
