She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Ooijen and Petronella Ooijen; and her sister Dingena Glenzinski. She is survived by: her husband Jack R. Houk; her children, Susan Hinrichs (Rick), Maria Smith (Brad) and Jackie Houk (Dana); her siblings, John Ooijen (Gunda), Antonia Varney (Al), Adrianna Zimmerman (Denny), Antonius Ooijen (Lorita), Petronella Widler, Cornelius Ooijen (Doris) and Margaret Lemke (Ken); her grandchildren, Ashley Brooks (Travis), Corey Groff (Andrew), Whitney Groff (Herman), Michael Hinrichs (Bree), Rebecca Hinrichs (James), Lucy Houk and Hazel Houk; and her great grandchildren, Valkyrie, Aries and Alayna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
