She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Runia and Carrie Koster Runia; her spouse Marion "Pete" Romein; her grandson Jamie; and her siblings, Clarence and Mildred.

She is survived by: her children, Vickie Romein of Bourbonnais, Jim Romein (Debbie) of St. Anne, Paul Romein of St. Anne and David Romein (Mary Sevik) of St. Anne; her grandchildren, Nicole Mailloux (Travis), Michelle Romein, Jeremiah Romein, Lauren Twardowski (Garett), Erin Romein (Justin Smith), David Romein (Alyssa) and Morgan Romein (Tommy Lally); and her sister-in-law Katherine Runia of Portage, MI.. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
