He was predeceased by: his father William Allen; his birth father William Allen; his stepfather Harm Bomgarden; his mother Anna Bomgarden (Kahler); his wife Mary; and his brother Gene Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Ellen, Woody and David; his grandchildren, Marlee (Rex) and Renee; and his great grandchildren, Jonah, Hayes, Tyler and Sarena. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
