She is survived by: her children, LtCol Paul Ahrens, Carol Ahrens of Freeport, Betty Kollmeyer (Denny) of Florida, Alice Bryant (Marty) of Texas, Judy Lendman (Kim) of Sterling, Cathy Gilpin (Mike) of Louisiana and Linda Beets (Greg) of Sterling; and her brother Wesley Koester (Margaret) of Waterman, IL.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Radio Service at Messiah Lutheran Church, Christ Lutheran School or Rock River Hospice.
