It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine H. Appenzeller Como of Rock Falls, Illinois, born in Sterling, Illinois, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack H. Appenzeller and Edwina Kammerling; her stepmother Marilyn; and her siblings, Lester Appenzeller, Mike Appenzeller and Jackie Appenzeller Halbrook.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Como; her daughters, Carrie Reul (Alicia) of Indianapolis, IN and Tracie Walls (Billy) of Rock Falls; her grandchildren, Amanda Gould, Jory Gould, Jake Walls, Sarah Walls and Brianna Walls; her great grandchildren, Ayden Gould, Alyssa Rippy, Teagan Gould, Georgia Walls, Lyndon Gould and Beckham Gould; and her siblings, Sharon Spease (Bob) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Joe Appenzeller (Christina) of Rock Falls, Art Walters (Lori) of Rock Falls and Kevin Walters of Rock Falls. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon.
