It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Goelitz Catherine N of Rochelle, Illinois, born in Galena, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heiko Grimm and Mildred Grimm (Rindesbacher); her husband Harold Goelitz; her sisters, Eleanor Arand (John) and Hope Petitgoue (Vince); and her brother-in-law Boyd Goelitz.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Goelitz (Ruth Ann) of Byron, IL, Gary Goelitz (Carol) of Abilene, TX, Janet Byrnes (Greg) of Menomonee Falls, WI and Nancy Sykora of Lake Barrington, IL; her grandchildren, Brian (Alyssa), Jeff (Erin), Melissa (Shea), Jason (Sarah), Denae (Greg) and Vicki (Avery); her great grandchildren, Megan, Thomas, Cole, Blake, Andrew, Ryan, Elise, Randel, Aiden and Brandon; her stepgrandchildren, John and Lisa; and her sister-in-law Marcia Goelitz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Catherine's name to the Esmond United Methodist Church.
