He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Kersten and Florence Kersten (Gonnerman); and his sister Shirley Sgro (Kersten). He is survived by: his wife Lynn E. Kersten; his sons, Bradley, Brian and Eric Kersten (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Haley (Cody Brill), Kelsey, Madison and Elias Kersten; and his great grandchildren, Kayson, Colten and Mia.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Kreider Services in Dixon, IL, which currently provides care for Jerry and Lynn's middle son, Brian.
