With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Conner Heath Ewald (Rochelle, Illinois), born in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on May 19, 2023 at the age of 8. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Vickie Grimley and Gary Manning. He is survived by: his parents, Tyler Ewald of Rochelle and Abbey Ewald (Hyde); his pets, Sophia, Gizmo and Grimlee; his grandparents, Christine Ewald of Oregon, IL, Barrett Manning of Monroe Center, IL and Daniel Hyde (Debra) of Lindenwood, IL; his stepgrandfather Erick Heinzman; his great-grandparents, Barbara Manning of Rochelle, Robert Ewald (Marie) of Rochelle and Connie Manning of Rochelle; his aunts and uncles, Nathanial Hyde (Brittany), Lauren Hyde, Eric Young, Noah Young, Logan Heinzman, Brandon Manning (Sarah), Brittni Gorsuch (Kirk) and Grace Manning; and his cousins, Evan Hyde and Grayson Young. He is also survived by many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established, which will be used towards a memorial bench near a river or lake in Conner's name. Memorials may be made to the Conner Ewald Memorial at the Holcomb Bank.
